The nature of our services

Within the scope of our license, we can be of service to you in the following way:

  1. We can give you insight into your current situation when it comes to hedging certain risks.
  2. When you already know which financial product you need and do not want any advice, we can guide you in the process of concluding an agreement (execution only).
  3. When you broadly know what kind of financial product you are looking for, we can help you compare your options to select the best one.
  4. At your request, we can act as a sparring partner in the process of deciding on a financial product, and your ideas of that financial product
  5. We can coach you by forming you a picture of all possibilities for insuring certain risks.
  6. We can give you complete advice on a financial product and guide you in concluding a suitable solution, whereby our services will, in principle, stop at the moment the relevant product is closed.
  7. We can take care of the complete management of your financial products: advice, conclusion and guidance in the conclusion of a financial product. In the latter case, examples would be a possible interim advice to adjust the already closed product, or dealing with damage.

Complaints

We do our very best to provide you with the best possible service. However, if you are not satisfied with our services, we ask you to let us know immediately. We will do our utmost to resolve your complaint as quickly as possible.

If you believe that we have not responded adequately to your complaint, you can contact the independent Dutch Financial Services Complaints Authority (KiFiD) in The Hague, the Netherlands. If you would like more information about the KiFiD, please visit www.kifid.nl. Our office is affiliated with KiFiD under number 300.016107.

Impartial advice

Our office is completely independent in its advice. This means that we are under no contractual obligation whatsoever to recommend the financial products of certain banks or mortgage providers.

No controlling interest

We are a completely independent company. No bank, insurer or other provider of financial products has voting rights or a share in our capital.

Selection of providers

Periodically we make a selection of the financial products currently offered by banks and insurance companies. In this regard we do work with a number of preferred companies. However, as we establish these preferred companies ourselves and this selection is subject to change over time, we are completely independent in our advice.

Remuneration

When advising you on and/or concluding a financial product for you, we will send you an invoice. We will not receive any commission from the financial institution where you purchase the financial product. Before we start to work on your request, we will make clear agreements with you about the rate on which we will operate, so you will know exactly where you stand.

For business and private indemnity insurances and savings accounts it is still possible to for us to work on a commission basis. For the time being, we will therefore continue to maintain this working method for these products. We will of course provide you with extensive information about this when you take out such a product.

Regarding loans it is mandatory for us to work on a commission basis. We will of course provide you with extensive information about this when you take out such a product.

Internal remuneration policy

The remuneration of our employees consists for the most part of a fixed salary. The fixed salaries are in line with the market at our company.

Depending on the position and the assessment, employees can receive a variable reward which is a maximum of 20% of their fixed income. At least 50% of the variable remuneration is based on qualitative objectives that serve the interests of the customer.

We regularly assess and guide our employees on how to act with integrity, soundness and customer focus. This assessment determines the amount of the fixed salary and the amount of the variable remuneration. At this moment there are no employees with us to whom a variable remuneration applies.

personal data

In order to advise you about which financial products best fit your situation, we will enter a dialogue with you. In this conversation we ask you several questions regarding your knowledge and experience in financial services, and about your financial situation, such as income, expenses and capital. Furthermore we will discuss your wishes and needs concerning the financial advice and your willingness to bear certain risks yourself, or your desire to minimize risks for example by means of an insurance.

We will treat your personal data with the greatest care

We take good care of the information we receive from you. We have taken technical and organizational measures to prevent unauthorized third parties to take cognizance of these data. All our employees have also signed a confidentiality agreement.

How do we use the data received from you?

We use the information we receive from you to analyze your financial situation. From this data we derive our advice on which measures you can take to realize the desired financial security. This may relate to the accrual of your pension, the insurance of certain risks or may be about obtaining finance.

Both in the context of drafting this advice and when you ask us to carry out parts of this advice, it may happen that we have to contact insurers, lenders, expert agencies, appraisers and others who are relevant to the realisation of your financial security.

For insurers and lenders the information is necessary as they need to be able to determine whether and, if so, under what conditions they want to offer you an insurance or credit. Expertise bureaus need data to establish the value of your property or other assets.

We will only provide third parties with your personal information when it is crucial in order for them to carry out the work we have requested for you. In this event, we only provide the specific information that these third parties really need.

How long do we keep your data?

We do not store your data any longer than necessary to carry out the assigned work for you. No later than five years after the insurance policies and/or credits that we have created for you have ended, we will destroy the personal data that we have received from you in this context.

What are your rights?

You are our client, so you have the right to decide which information we do or do not receive from you. Besides, you have other rights which have been summarized below.

You may always ask us for an overview of the personal data that we have about you. This overview is provided free of charge.

If you believe that we have incorrectly processed certain information about you in our records, you can ask for correction. We appreciate this very much, because we can only do our work well if the data we use to work on your request are correct.

If you no longer wish us to have certain data registered in our records, you can request us to delete this information. Of course we will meet your request in that case.

We have indicated above how we use information we receive from you. If at any time you wish to limit this use, for example in the event that you do not want us to pass on certain data to a specific organization, you can let us know. Of course will comply with this request.

If you wish, we can forward your details to a third party, for example your accountant, lawyer or bank. After receiving your request, we will carry out your request as soon as possible.

When we receive personal information about you from third parties, for example from your insurer, accountant, bank or other financial advisors, we will inform you about the source from which we received this information.

What is the situation if you do not give us certain information, or restrict us in using it?

Drafting a good financial advice can be compared to making a puzzle. There are many individual pieces that are all mixed up at the beginning of our work. If we have all the pieces at our disposal, we will almost always succeed in solving the puzzle and providing a complete picture.

But if you do not wish to provide us with certain information or impose restrictions on its use, we will miss one or more "pieces" of the puzzle. Sometimes that is not insurmountable in order to be able to sketch a certain final picture. However, we will then have to point out to you what the consequences could be for you, as this report may have certain gaps because we did not have all the information at our disposal.

In the event of missing too much information, we can not draw up a well-informed and responsible advice, upon which we will have to inform you that we can not perform our work for you.

Complaints about the way we handle your personal data

As indicated above, we try to handle your personal information as carefully as possible. Do you have questions about the way in which our office handles your personal data? Do not hesitate to contact us. We will then do our best to answer these questions as well as possible.

If you have any complaints about the way in which our office has dealt with your personal information, please contact the management of our office about this. We promise you that your complaint receives our utmost attention.

Should you continue to believe that we have not handled your personal information with due care, you can submit a complaint to the Dutch Data Protection Authority: www.autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl

There is a lot more left to tell

We hope you got an idea of what we can do for you. Of course that is much more than you could read in this brochure. Feel free to ask us your questions. Want to know more what we can do for you or how we work? We are more than willing to further elaborate on this during a conversation in person.
